Hi, I want to play movie or flv files in a selected order. Even changing the settings in the playlist in the preference menu, and saving, the files are being played in only in random order. Is there any solution for this. How to play the first selected file first, second by second etc. I have gone through the other help articles also but could not find the solution. Even not selecting the random and select repeat all does not solve the problem. Would you please help in this regard

It depends on what player your using.

Myself I use media player classic that comes part of the k-lite codec pack

Hi , I am trying vlc media player. latest version. Even though i dis select random in the tools , preference menu, and then playlist and then copy in the order of the movie files, flv files 1,2 3 etc., it does not play in the said order. So, i am asking you, whether there is any player, which has these settings.

Hi, I found out a way for this problem. First, i renamed the files to 01.flv 02.flv etc. Then i dis select the random selection (by going to the preference menu, bottom menu all, and then playlist selection and then dis selecting) and then click playlist , add these files one by one 01 and then 02flv. Then i saved the playlist to a named file. If you open this saved playlist file, the vlc media player plays in the order in which it is chosen, continueously. Thank you Shane

Hi, I am trying your codec lite. By the by, is that support resumelast play. If suppose, due to powercut or unknown reason, that the player stopped in the middle of a play, would it play from the point last played. As otherwise, one has to go to the same file and drag the play handle. Thank you. If not, is there any player support this kind of resume. I am still trying that with the vlc media player

Most players that I know of dont have a resume play like that if the power is cut.

But the media player classic that comes with the codec pack has a ton of options so it is worth a look

Hi, Thanks. How to manage volume control in the player. I do not see any option in the volume in the option menu. How to increase or decrease the volume. The default master volume is set to maximum. But sometimes, the volume seems to be at low level. how to control

I am not getting the error, are you getting it now? If not it might have just been mysql server was having trouble.

Hi, Yes . I am getting the error still on each reply login. It is at the bottom of the page, where some adv. like quikr gets displayed.

I dont know on the volume as I dont use media player int he way your trying to, you will have to play with it and see what you can get going

On the error on the page can you post a screen shot? And what browser are you using?

Hi, Shane,

I am only asking adjusting the sound volume in the program. It seems that the sound gets a little low, when playing videos. Where is the sound settings to adjust the sound volume.
I am using firefox, as i find google somewhat compromised to hackers. Even when firefox starts it gets the search results only through google. Is it correct.?
I will send it when i receive the error, further. Today, i got the advertisement in that place

I gotcha.

Install the k-lite codec pack again, this time in the settings it gives you during setup, down the list you will see one that says volume normalization. Make sure to have that enabled.

Hi, I uninstalled and reinstalled codec pack and as per your advice has enabled normalisation of sound on 2 items, in the set up exe instructions. Is that correct one for normal and one for ffmdshow or something like that in the same menu. I thank you very much for your thoughtful solution and will report any further problem.
Is there any video joiner or merger of flv files of the same format and resolution such as the original to use. I mean if i have a format flv of 480*360, then the resultant output, should be the same, instead of flv other resolutions. I will be much grateful to you if you give me the solution. By the by, which conversion from flv, would compress the size of the file to small without any loss of quality.

Hi, Thank you, i surfed thro the net and tried idoo video xpress, aiesoft total video converter,aimersoft video converter, tipard blu ray etc. But none of them worked as it is only merging after encoding in other output format and it took hours together. But at last i found one cool flv joiner named andy flv joiner, which is very simple to merge more files in their original format and resolutions etc. The time taken for 4 gb is hardly five to six minutes and it retains the original sound video quality etc. The others are priced heavy, compared to this free one. I have given as useful tips in your forum. But before i reply to this thread the power went off. So, i am replying now.
Can i send this kind of useful tips to this forum, with your permission, Shane , sir,

Hi, Thank for recommending media player classic . It has all the facilities. If suppose, i see a film and close it. My brother comes and hear some songs then in the same mpc. Then if i set to loop, as per your advice in a post that i started to play continuously then there is one setting available in the view -option -Media playar option, an Unmistakable icon, enabling one instance for each play. If you select, it then i can resume my movie from the last scene by opening File OPen recent menu and choose my file. What a great recommendation! Some of the recommendation you made has been wonderful utilities
