Hard Drives
« on: August 06, 2018, 12:30:55 am »
Hey guys I just bought a ASUS ROG Desktop. It came with a 250 GIG SSD and a Seagate 1tb SATA Drive. All work great. I bought a 2nd 4 TB Seagate SATA Drive and hooked it up to the 2nd sata channel and neither drives show up or sometimes only one of the sata drives show up in file manager or disk management. If I hook them up by themselves they work fine. I have contacted ASUS and they told me to update the bios to version 305 which I did. Still does not work and trying to get a straight anser from them is impossible. In the bios the drives show up when only 1 sata is hooked up, but does not when both sata are hooked up. Any ideas guys ?

Got it fixed, turns out the ssd drive was using the sata 1 port address. Disconnected 2 nd ssd connection and plugged sata drive into that sata port and all drives are working fine.
