Windows 7 update a bit broken
« on: October 21, 2012, 06:33:06 am »
in my Windows 7 home 32 bit PC I think the updates are a bit broken.  Whell just some updates.
I go to windows update and check 4 updates. then i see 5 important updates.
i will try to add a screen pick of the 5 updates.  i Let it download and install all 5 updates and restart my PC.
Then i go back and check 4 updates. then i see the same 5 important updates.
All updates are Framework 4 updates.

in short Can't install update  or windows uptates keeps telling me i need 5 framework updates no matter how
much i run the update install.

It sounds like it is the .net on the system that is messed up and not Windows updates.

So the trick is to remove .net and reinstall it.

This tool

Will remove .net from the system, reboot and then reinstall .net and see how things go :cheesy:

I dont know if that other tool will work as well.

The .net remover has 2 download links, did you try the 2nd one?

And anything that needs .net wont run, but Windows will be fine and your programs that need .net will work again after you reinstall .net
