Thanks - someone has opened a thread about the threat to Intel based machines on another forum, so if you don't mind, I've shared your link on there.

I'll run those cmds on my Intel machine but as Intel will be releasing a patch next week, the threat may not be imminent.

MS has since released KB4056892 for Win 10 and KB4056894 for Win 7 to combat Meltdown and Spectre security flaws.
