Registry Backup Installation (3.4) Sharing Violation Error.
« on: March 26, 2016, 01:36:03 pm »
Hi Shane,

As the subject says, I have run into this problem updating/installing Registry Backup in W 10 Builds 14291 and 14295. I have reported this on the MS IP FeedBack Hub as well. The only recovery, since even previous versions have the same problem, was to reimage with a Paragon Backup.

I suspect that this is a W 10 Insider Program Build problem UNLESS MS is going to start doing something a new way. I will leave that up to you to decide.

Build 14291 is attached first, 14295 second.

As Backup see my Gdrive: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BxiUW_krt1_zMXNTRG9YcEIzTFE&usp=sharing

Best Regards,

Crysta

Sharing violation means the setup was trying to write or access the file but it was completely locked out of it. This is always because of the Antivirus. Normally it is in the middle of still scanning it or it hasnt decided what to do with it.

So just disable the AV and try again.

In fact I think I will make a sticky thread about this for other users will see it :-)
