Internet Explorer Open all pages as a file to download???
« on: July 04, 2015, 03:32:43 am »
WTF I don't understand!
The situation is simple;
I open IE11
IE11 opens download manager, and tries to download the internet page
I can't visualize homepage, because each time opens download manager instead to open any pages

i try to uninstall, reinstall, use tweaking repair 2 times, reset IE to default, open IE with no-addons

it is very frustrating

in the first image, IE is closing automatically.
In the second, it tries to download google homepage

if i open utorrent, or a torrent file is the same thing.  I can use utorrent, but every time....
see the third image

okay can you get a screenshot of this so i can see what you are seeing please.
first off did you scan for malware?
I reccommend malwarebytes
https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/
run this tool with a quick scan then do a full threat scan if it finds anything.
Why I say that is because it sounds like malware issues.
when you finish that tell you your results or post your mbam scan log. we will continue after that.

Have you tried your restore points back to when IE was working as it should ?

Go Start - type tmp - you should get an option to Change temporary Internet file settings - if you don't then type that.

That will give you the same window as when you click on the Tools icon and select Internet options.

What does it give for your home page under the General tab ?

it's a problem! I didn't use IE since several month but is not very important because There are no old repair points, is disabled

I think probably the problem is a program called Privazer, similar to ccleaner, but more powerful.

Or probably is a problem on registry, so my pc thinks that html and htm are pages to download

UPDATE:
NO VIRUS

Update 2:
I have re-uninstalled IE11 and IE10

for now IE9 works, i'll try to re-install IE10, and later IE11

The problem with Utorrent doesn't disappear

Update 3:
i find the problem with utorrent:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZQOF4-hT04

disable sponsor and yeah!!!

OK the problem is only the association with the htm and html... so now i try to find another solution
