That is actually for XP, in Windows 7 when you F8 the boot manager you will get all the options like safe mode, but you also get "Repair Computer" which is the recovery console in a sense.

The repair computer option doesnt have its own boot item like the recovery console did on XP, the repair computer is part of the windows 7 boot manager. :wink:

I understand. I mean to Fix F8 Boot screen. I get 0x000000e when tap F8 and choose Repair Your Computer.

Ok, that error means the boot manager needs to be rebuilt.

Make sure to do a chkdsk on the drive first and then see if this helps here

OK, Thanks, Installed a Test Win and no error. Will export it there and import on bad pc.

Using VisualBCD. Imported a backup VisualBCD, it works.
