There appears to be some conflict with my laptop, W7, Home Premium, 64bit as I have installed same program on another laptop and it works fine.

The issue is: the computer does see the camera (actually it does it with two different Nikon Cameras so it's not the camera driver) and I can 'drill down to the pictures on the SD Card in the DICM folder. There is a transfer program, it does open up but will not populate the pix on the SD card to transfer to the computer folder, sure I can do it manually but not with the software.

I've removed/reinstalled several versions of the program, used a reg cleaner, gone to an earlier restore date (can not go back to a date prior to the installation of the software as there isn't a date available.). Also checked the compatibility of the software and did chose W7 from selections.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Sincerely,

Bruce

Hi, Jasi,
Do you mean to say that there is some problem in accessing and opening files with while connecting the camera with the computer?. Normally Dcim folder resides in camera. Did you try to uninstall the software you were mentioning with Revo uninstaller, which will even fix registry entries. But using unauthorised and unfamiliar software will remove the system files also.
You have said that uninstalled and reinstalled the software. I think the problem is either partial installation or removal of some files inadvertently by the Reg cleaner. I never use unsolicited reg cleaners because, it is bundled with program of upgrade and also if uninstalled take away system files with it when you clean the reg. I would advise you ccleaner, the best harmless reg cleaner instead of others. Try to uninstall thro revo uninstaller and if system files are missing, then you have copy those dll files from the secured sites to fix this problem.
The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

Thank you for your suggestions. Believe it or not, it is now working- changed the compatibility to XP SP3 and it works like it should.

Appreciate your suggestions.

Sincerely,

Bruce
