Yes, sometimes Windows doesn't delete all files in the recycle bin and then the recycle bin will seem to be full. Don't worry. Download CCleaner and it will delete all files in the bin.

Download the free program called "ExplorerXP". It allows you to manually delete the recycle bin folder called "c:\$recycle.bin". Windows will recreate that folder as soon as you restart Windows.

Hope this helps ............

Please dont type in all caps, it means you're yelling and it is hard for me to read :-)

Can you take and post a screen shot of the exact message you are getting and asking about?

Do you have Win 7 or Vista ? Then you can use the Snipping Tool to make picture of your screen. Attach that picture to your next post in this thread.

Are you trying to actually delete the Windows folder?

And when you open your recycle bin does anything show? Also before you do that make sure you have it set to where you can view hidden files on your system just in case the folder or file int he recycle bin is hidden :-)

Ok then the recyclebin is just corrupted. Try this

Quote
Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, Click Start
Start Button
, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
Type the appropriate command for your operating system, and then press ENTER.

Windows XP
rd /s C:\recycler

Windows Vista
rd /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin

Note For hard drives with other letters, substitute C: for the desired hard drive letter.
Close the Command Prompt window.
Right-click an empty area of the desktop and then click Refresh.
