Explorer.exe crashes not fixed
« on: March 02, 2014, 03:46:23 pm »
After doing a malware sweep on my computer the explorer.exe process that handels the desktop started crashing. This especialy happens if i try to do anything that changes any display options or try to access any of the options for the display. For exampel if i try to change the screen resulotion or try to change the background. The diagnostic that Windows runs after program crashes dosen't find anything at all and only restarts the process. A suggestion for improvments is to check if any files that the explorer.exe process relies on is corrupted or missing.

CCleaner might help with finding regkeys pointing to missing files that are hooked to explorer.exe
