VLC Media Player will not run in Wins 7.....

I re-installed VLC MP because I was having problems, after I re-installed and try to run it now I'm get this... "Windows cannot access specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." I ran "sfc/scannow" to see if I had any corrupt files that could be restored but still getting the warning. What should I do?????

Did you go and check if that file path exists?

Thanks for the suggestion. That is exactly what the pop-up window is telling me, does the "file path" exist. Can you please tell me how do I go by doing that, "check the file path". I'm not a Geek so I would really appreciate your help. Please be very clear for English is my second language. Thank God for "spell checking".......       ......

Open computer, open local disk c: then go to the program files (x86) folder and so on and see if that file is in the location it is looking for

Assuming there is no malware involved, This almost sounds like the VLC setup / install was performed without Administrator privileges.
Try Uninstalling VLC and download a new copy from
Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework!
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
(Note: you may have to temporarily disable your virus protection AFTER you completed the download.)

Right-Click  the vlc-2.1.0-win32.exe Run as Administrator
Re-enable Virus protection after installation completes.

Hello.....

Great!....... it's done and resolved. I reinstalled VLC and all is good now so thanks a million. I installed the zipped version and it's working just fine.
