First thing to do is to check the drive for bad sectors, have you done that yet?

Shane, seems he/she is using a free copy tool for video...

I would ask, what program are you using?

yes, run chkdsk is the first issue too :)

then, is the program free trial? if so, can not help them anymore!
 if not, then it is probably related to malware or tied to ransomware programs...

Only solution, unistall and delete all the registry keys which we wont find out unless someone posted how to delete all the registry keys for that program somewhere which we have not been told... then download and use VLC media player!
