WR-AIO Start window not resizeable
« on: October 25, 2012, 06:38:48 pm »
I wish I could make the Start window a bit larger so all the choices are visible. As it is now, 1 or two at the bottom are not visible.

I may do that down the road as I add more repairs and the list grows even more.

Right now, at least for me only the last repair is half hidden and that is all.

Thought I would let you know. I am working on v1.9.2 and I just finished the resize code, I attached an example.

I am also adding 11 more file associations repairs to the program as well :-)

bat, cmd, com, dir, drive, exe, folder, inf, msc, reg and scr.

lnk is already in the program.

No problem.

Now I am just trying to decide if I will have each of the file associations repairs as one repair or 11 different ones in the program.

Can they be grouped some how or are they all unique?

I am trying to decide if I should have the all under one repair or list them each by themselves, so it would add 11 repairs to the program.

Each are just reg files. But With vista and newer some of them have to write to locations that are locked by the trusted installer in the registry. SO simply running the reg files wont work.

Cool thing about my repair tool is it runs the repairs as the system account, so it has access to these locations :-)

I am trying to see if having them all in just 1 repair would make some people go, well I dont want to touch those other ones, I just want these 2 or so on. Or since they are all nomral things that dont normally get changed if it is worth keeping it simple and have it as one repair.

Not sure how to do it yet lol

Sub menu or drop down menu?

Maybe it's time to think about tabs across the top for the various (broad) areas?

File System
Regisrty
File Permissions
Installer
etc....

And still have a way that just says DO IT ALL!
