PC not supporting Pixel Shader 2.0
« on: November 03, 2012, 07:07:40 am »
I wonder what the reason is :S I try to play a game, which requires a video card that supports Pixel Shader 2.0, and then my pc says that my video card doesn't support it. As i can see on my pc, it has Directx 9.0, shouldn't it also support Shader 2.0 as well, or am I misunderstanding something?

If your video card doesn't support Shader 2.0, then you have a very ancient configuration (odd to believe) or a very old game that doesn't detect properly your card.

Please post here your hardware requirements + the game you're trying to play.

Yeah pixel shader is something that is supported on the card itself, not Windows.

What video card do you have?
