What should I use to open an .rar file?
« on: April 20, 2015, 05:49:27 pm »
I have looked at a couple of programs online and started the download process only to find that they were full of bloatware so I stopped it. Can anyone recommend a good program to open a .rar file that does not come with all the bloatware? Thanks, Joe

you could open with winrar or 7 zip. the links are as below
http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
the first exe file would do
winrar link
http://www.win-rar.com/predownload.html?&f=wrar521.exe&spV=true&subD=true&L=0
please download the free version ie continue to download,
and not the buy one. it is free for years
The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

Give Peazip a try. It is open many formats. It is free and came in 32bit or 64bit.
