After you click on Uninstall and has used Windows own Uninstaller, there's a Power Scan and also the option to shred the files when you confirm the residue delete.
You may have to perform the uninstall in Safe Mode as it's likely to be running in the background.

I've seen reports where Bitdefender has caused problems as well as slowing a computer to a crawl, so that wouldn't have been my first choice and AV Suites tend to have a bad reputation - just as you've experienced with Kaspersky.
Boot up into Safe Mode with Networking to see if you have the same problem with Firefox and whatever tap max plus is.

I use Norton 360 and have done for about 5 years which has been mainly trouble free, although it no longer likes Windows Updates as I have to open Norton and do a manual scan for Definition updates before IE will open.
