security settings question’ what’s up!
« on: May 20, 2014, 02:13:30 am »
I have a small question, Is your tool already can set all the security settings / other settings of the Windows system to the default settings?  :artist:

The reason for this question is that something on the system that enables file-sharing 'with other devices! So I think this is a danger for my if others access my personal files to share !

I've noticed that some days ago and always go to the network options in order to disable file sharing! But the problem here, I absolutely do not do this, but who has the right to do file sharing enabled?  :blank:

who's to enable file sharing?

File sharing only works on the local network and not over the internet, so unless you have someone you dont trust on the same network as you then you will be fine. Also normally the password enabled option is on by default when file sharing is enabled, so again you should be fine, and if you dont have any folders shared on the system then even with file sharing enabled no one can assess the files if you havent shared them

Thanks for the info  :cheesy: but I wonder if your tool can set/reset the file-sharing settings to the default settings back ? and this because every time I have run your Tweaking.com - Windows Repair tool I notice that file-sharing is to enable!  Just guessing, not sure yet!  lol

It is part of the firewall service and yes I have it set to enabled, since most people have it enabled and it is safe to have enabled anyways so it was best to have it set that way. Otherwise people who shared files would lose that after running my repairs, couldnt have that now

ok,  What if malware has hijacked these areas and have to file sharing enabled for hackers or maybe for all? & How do we protect ourselves from these risks?

File sharing only works on the local network like I said and not over the internet, hacks have no use for that :-)
