uninstall
« on: January 26, 2013, 06:31:41 am »
I noticed my laptop has no uninstall beneath the program at start up [the programs or apps you see when you click lower left].
The desktop pc does has a provision to uninstall.
It is not a big deal but I wondered why, and I like to cleanly uninstall which your uninstall does rather than Windows uninstall which leaves remnants behind.

Which programs dont have uninstalls?

If they are any of my programs then know that all my programs do have uninstalls if you use the installer. If you download the portable ones there is no uninstaller, you just delete the folder the files are in

I could have mistakenly downloaded the portable one to the laptop as there is no uninstaller and will keep  in mind I just have to remove the folders.
It is odd that the laptop which has no uninstaller is running fine and the desktop is the one  I am sending the logs in that is not running properly. I know there is no correlation.
I could keep the fallback method but usually remove the failed backup and perform a manual one which always works.

Yeah on the other machine it is a problem with the volume shadow copy. We will figure it out together :-)
