Life saver - reg permissions fixer
« on: January 12, 2013, 08:47:07 pm »
Well, in short, I reboot my server for windows updates. It starts up with a chkdisk. We run the drives in RAID array so that's rebuilt after the chkdisk is finished. Windows loads up and none of the services start. Without Base Filtering Engine or Windows Firewall, the server cannot accept the connection of anyone, so the box becomes useless. I used ProcessMonitor to find the reg keys which were returning access denied, but doing this for more then 2 services is annoying. I set out to look for a reg permissions reset and found this. It worked. On a server OS. Good job, and thank you.
