Running into windows 10 update issues
« on: November 22, 2021, 01:20:34 pm »
Hello everyone,

I am trying to remotely update my friends Windows 10 Pro system, he has an HP all in one desktop PC and when I try to run the updates, it finds a few and says pending, i changed the active times etc to force them to start downloading and they are not, keeps saying pending, tried the upgrade troubleshooter that comes with win 10, same issue.

Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Win 10 has very few updates - usually just one or two cumulative updates and one for the MSRT so I don't know how many are in the few that you state.

I've identified you as being reported for spamming and brute force attacks, but should your post be a genuine query then I'll tell you which commands to run from either a Command Prompt (Admin) or Powershell (Admin)

dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

Enter exit to close the cmd window and try the updates again.
