possibe problem after running your system info tool
« on: November 17, 2012, 10:24:13 am »
Hi Shane
I ran that system info tool last night and it worked so my wmi
is ok but today I tried to run one of my defrag programs
piriforms defraggler and it keeps crashing-could that system
info progam you gave me the link to have anything to do with
the crash? I get an error in defraggler :app name defraggler.exe
offset:00d6b9b-just wondering as it has always worked before
running your info tool.
Thanks
Rod

My tool does nothing to the system at all. It simply opens, calls WMI, saves the info to a text file and it is done.

Have you ran a check on the drive for any bad sectors yet? I know some defrag programs can crash if they hit a bad sector.

Hi
yes I did a full chkdsk(spelled wrong)
I excluded a folder from defaggler and that must have been the problem,
I went to the settings and un excluded it and it still showed up so went
to the prograns folder and looked at the ini file and it was still in there so
removed it and it worked, then I dumped that piece of garbage(defraggler)
and using auslogics portable defrag-piriform is getting strange on there
programs so who needs it!Defraggler takes 2 hours to defrag an 80 gig
drive BUT it makes it fly!But doing it every 2 days is a pain-auslogics does it
in 10 minutes-btw was not accusing your proggie of the problem bud.

Thanks
Rod
