Is all in one safe to use on 2008 SBS
« on: February 12, 2015, 05:49:11 pm »
I have a 2008 SBS server that I think the services and registry could benefit from the repairs within the all in one repair.  I am a bit worried about running automated repairs on a domain controller as well as Exchange serer.

I haven't tested the repairs on a domain server, mainly because there is so many other variables.

I know the services can be different than on a workstation, you will find the reg files the program uses in the files folder. You can compare what is there with what is on the system already.

And for the permissions in the program, it works on adding administrators, system and such, but doesnt add domain admins and other groups. Again because servers can be setup so differently from each other it is hard to automate the repairs for it vs a workstation where things are normally the same across the board.

I am sure some of the repairs are fine to do, I just dont know which ones lol.

If you run anything run the repairs one at a time to be safe and make sure to do a registry backup!
