Hi,
I am having a strange problem. The startup program exe works, but the some program icons are showing as blank file type. This is only for the programs. Mozilla firefox is one of the program, which shows correctly but the recent files accessed shows all as unknown file type. what has happened? How to correct. Please see the Malware bytes icon

The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

Do you have your system set to show the file extensions for files? If so did you make sure the files still have their extentions in the file name?

Example: if I have windows set to show file extensions and I have a file called readme.txt and I rename it and remove the .txt from the file name then windows wont know what type of file it is.

Hi, Shane
It is not file type mistake. It is icon cache corruption. Glad that i did the rebuild cache instructions from Sevenforum. The solution is manual and it is given in this link. It restores the icons in cache folder by replacing corrupted icons.
    taskkill /IM explorer.exe /F
    DEL "%localappdata%\IconCache.db" /A
    shutdown /r /f /t 00
The Link is

It is a good tip. Thanks Shane Problem appear to be solved

Thats the way the forum does it, you can actually change it on every post, BUT it is the first post that shows up in the forum section so that is the only one that matters to change.
