does tweaking.com or malware bytes clean attached external hdd's?

I have 3 external hdd's connected to my computer which is running windows 8.  I suspect they may be infected with some malware.  What is the best way to scan these hdd's?  I have malware bytes installed plus tweaking.com.  If either of these will scan and remove the malware, just how do I make that happen?

Jim

Using MBAM, click on the Scan option in the Menu bar and select Custom Scan/Scan Now and that will give you options of drives to scan.

thank you for this.  I will be at that computer in 10 hours and will do what you suggest then.
