OK, I know the other times I have seen that it is when the com++ had been corrupted, on others it was because a dll needed registered again.
I just installed a fresh vista with sp2 in vmware and i am running all the repairs now to see if I can replicate it.
Are there any other errors on the systems? If it was com++ then other things would be broken as well.
Also you can restore the registry with the program from before the repairs and it will be back to normal. But you are the 2nd person about the mmc in windows 7 giving that error so I want to get this fixed, so if you dont mind waiting before restoring the registry
In the windows 7 are you able to open mmc.exe at all?
