USB flash drive problem
« on: August 24, 2013, 10:03:16 am »
Hi,
I have a 128gb flash drive that reads "Bitlocker status: not encryptable" after trying to format it with NTFS file system.

Does anyone know how to correct this issue?

I want to use this drive for backup and when I check "properties", all I get is 0 bytes free and 0 bytes used.

Apparently the drive is corrupted and I need to know if there is a tool or program that will correct this problem.

Thanks....lamarjr

What version of Windows?

There are a ton of 3rd party programs you can use to work with it. And if your on vista or newer you can use the diskpart in the cmd.exe

I had a flash drive that a tool change the boot sector on it so it wasnt a MBR any more, and of course Windows seen it as 0 bytes in size. Once I changed it back to a MBR Windows could work with it again

Did you try the diskpart?
