tweaking windows repair
« on: July 15, 2013, 01:36:58 pm »
I ran it because IE8 aborts immediately on start. It did not fix the problem but generated security alert program problems. Ive attached the log file if somebody wants to help me.

What do you mean? Can you post a screen shot?

And a lot of times problems with IE can be related to add ons in it. Go to internet options in the control panale and then manage add ons and disable them all and see how IE does

I attached the tweakin log file with the original message. It shows numerous failures trying to fix IE and some other programs. Tweakin did not fix IE. It immediately aborts when you open it. I now have the windows security alerts shield in the task bar. Clicking on it looks like its going to execute, but nothing happens. IE8 wont stay up long to enter anything. Ive gone thru total deletes of IE numerous times. Even Deleted them with Explorer and control panel deletes. Reboot and install IE8. numerous times always the same results. It doesn't start. I use mozilla and chrome for the web with no problems
