chkdsk ran prior to win10 install damaged my HDD then I reverted back to win7.
Just had a blue screen STOP:0x000001A after spotting an unknown file labelled avg in russian looking lettering.?

I've followed the white list instruction so will try in a bit.
I'd done the scannow yesterday and it didn't see any issues.

Chkdisk carried out a scan when I intended to install win10 but it screwed up one of my HDDs so I reverted back to win7, I then downloaded winrepair in the hope of sorting the issues.
I've KASPERSKY Total security installed and it advised me to remove winrepair v4 which I tried to do using add/remove programs but it wasn't removed fully, hence the tray icon.
So now I'm trying to reinstall winrepair to have a go at repairing/resetting win7.
Also use malwarebytes and spybot to check my system.

After I was advised to uninstall windows repair the system tray icon still remains and causes shut down issues with my pc.
I'm trying to reinstall but as soon as it asks about adding the short cuts for users the whole system locks up and I've to force a reset.
I've tried in both safe-modes and get the same result, any ideas as I'm beginning to think its time to format and start again.
running win 7 on amd dual core a series Athlon 8gb ram, ssd hdd.
I'm a novice so real in depth repairs may be beyond my skills

Using Win7, 64bit,
Not sure how this ended up on my p.c I'm the only one that downloads.
But HP Essentials has now been trashed and I can't reinstall, when I've looked the status shows Tweak to be running but I don't know where or how, I do know my KASPERSKY total security, spotted it running and asked if it should be as it was doing something associated with a virus so may be blocking but again not to sure.
A little concerned about running anything in SAFE MODE though, the back up log only go's back two days I've been trying to remove/activate for over a week as I thought let it run.

Hi All

Not sure how TWEAKING.COM v4 2018 has ended up on my win7 system, but it looks handy enough, however if I try to run the software my whole system locks up.
I have to pull the power and force a shut down.
Can't even uninstall to repair.
Any ideas.????
