General Computer Support / Local area connection does not have a valid ip configuration

One of the computers in the office suddenly developed the above problem. The computer network it attached itself to is "unknown network". It then proceeds to attach itself to a wireless network (our own). What has caused this sudden misbehavior?

General Computer Support / Installed programs cannot be found

I recently installed some programs on a windows 7 64-bit computer. The installation appear successful (no error mesage). However neither the program folders nor the programs can be found on the hard drive. If I try to re-install the programs, the system tells me they are already installed. The computer also runs Comodo firewall (free), Avast anti-virus (free) and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. I tried disabling comodo and re-installing the program - no difference!

Any idea?
