Hi there Shane, hope you and your beloved ones are great!

I've developed a batch file for silently installing and running this app, it worked fine with previous version, but with v2.0.0 the /silent switch to run silently the program just crashes it with the following info:
Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:   APPCRASH
  Application Name:   Simple_System_Tweaker.exe
  Application Version:   2.0.0.0
  Application Timestamp:   53572148
  Fault Module Name:   StackHash_e649
  Fault Module Version:   0.0.0.0
  Fault Module Timestamp:   00000000
  Exception Code:   c0000005
  Exception Offset:   00000000
  OS Version:   6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
  Locale ID:   1033
  Additional Information 1:   e649
  Additional Information 2:   e6496478271b4ee70aefe9ef29bdcff9
  Additional Information 3:   ea4d
  Additional Information 4:   ea4d3e07cf549a6576cf3d78ed4faaaf

The apps opens ok if ran normally (no silent)
Hope to solve this issue
Thanks

  don't worry.

I've left it as disabled.

Hi Shane.

Thanks for the reply and the offer of the batch file.

I'v already created a batch that at the end deletes the desktop shortcut.

Kind regards

Tweaking.com Support & Help / Simple System Tweaker: Disable TCP Timestamps?
« on: September 12, 2013, 08:17:49 am »
Hi Shane.

I noticed that this tweak is not selected by default, and under the description it says:
---Disable TCP Timestamps (Can Improve Network Speed On Some Networks)---

Tcp1323Opts is a necessary setting in order to enable Large TCP Window support as described in RFC 1323. Without this parameter, the TCP Window is limited to 64K.

1) Is there a reason why it's not selected by default?
2) Are there specific scenarios to enable/disable this? for example, in a office network? home network? etc.?
3) What are the side effects?

As always thanks!

Couple of questions:

1) Is there a switch to avoid the creation of the desktop link? (when installing the program silently)

2) And is there a way for the program to create a file or send a notice that it was successfully ran with the /silent switch? (In order to know that the tweaks in settings.ini were successfully applied)

Thanks & Regards

Hi.

I'd like to know if this program currently support silent installation, like using /s or \s switches in command line?

And if it's also possible to apply the default tweaks while the programs is silent installed.

Just like Cleanmem works, that when silent installed it configures the programs with the default settings.

I'm asking this because I'd like to deploy Simple System Tweaker among several computers and apply the default tweaks in that way

Thanks

Hi Shane. As an avid user of Cleanmem, I heard about Tweaking.com and caught my interest Simple Performance Boost.
Dude, you're awesome !!! :cheesy:
This program is exactly what you say, a powerfull optimizer that will not harm the system.

I love so much the fact that you explain every single tweak (that's other programs never do)
But I noticed an issue, I've installed the program in two different computers and in both the same issue appears:
Under services tweaks, the explanation for each tweak is not working, it only displays the explanation of Search indexer, If i move the mouse cursor over the other service tweaks, nothing appears, only the description of search indexer.

Also I've some questions:

If I use Windows Search 4.0, disabling search indexer will affect Windows Search? I'm not sure if Windows Search depends on this service.

Thanks & Regards
Hector
