system = windows 8.1, homebuilt pc, tweaking.com - windows repair v2.10.2

error msg = the repair has failed to start 5 times.  Something is keeping the repair from running.  etc..... tweaking_ras.exe prevented from starting, make sure your Antivirus isn't blocking it.

how do I determine if antivirus is blocking and if yes, how do I turn it off.

does tweaking.com or malware bytes clean attached external hdd's?

I have 3 external hdd's connected to my computer which is running windows 8.  I suspect they may be infected with some malware.  What is the best way to scan these hdd's?  I have malware bytes installed plus tweaking.com.  If either of these will scan and remove the malware, just how do I make that happen?

Shane, thank you for your response.  To confirm what you suggest I should do.

1. d/l and install ver 2.8.4 of tweaking.com
then
2. disable ALL right click menu options. 
question??
How do I determine which of the many items are "right click" menu options? 
I will not be at that computer for 24 hours.

windows explorer - right click on a folder or drive windows explorer closes.
Running windows 8, I have followed the instructions, completed each step in tweaking.com windows repair ver2.8.1 twice.  Also have run malware bytes which states all malware has been removed.  If I right click on any network share or folder on the left side of windows explorer, windows explorer closes.
