I protected tweaking.com windows repair folder. I hope this negates any loss of the key.

Thanks again

I am not a software guy and I don't know where the key is stored. It seems like it was blocked and became unblocked when going to safe mode? I have no idea what caused this. I am just reporting what happened.

Thanks again

Dave

i tried it in safe mode without networking and it fixed it. So it was not a connection problem something was causing a problem with the key.

I am running win7 ultimate and  went to safe mode without network thinking that some malware was causing it to lose the key. That was the first time I tried the safe mode. Before I just requested a new key.

Thanks again

Let me know if there anyway to lock the registry key or anything I can do?
It is really weird it lost the key I rebooted to safe mode then back to normal windows and the key showed back up?
Thanks again for your prompt reply.

Thanks these things are a pain. I have a toolbar remover but it didn't show this up. I tried to search google and it comes up with all these scams trying to sell you a virus checker. If I am not careful I cause a larger problem trying to fix this problem.

God Bless

Thanks

Hi

I have am running Win 7 Ultra. I use Bitdefender Internet for my main virus checker. Somehow I picked up a yahoo hijack. How do I get rid of it? I use Firefox for a browser. I have run Malwarebytes and Hitman and they didn't find it.

Thanks

Hi
I am using a desktop with Win7 Ultimate installed and using a DSL modem for my Internet connection.

I have a problem where I can't start my Diagnostic Policy service (DPS). I think I am the cause of the problem. It was not starting so I went to services and started it. But, I kept having problems where it wouldn't start. I found that there was a pull-down and it had said login and password. I accidentally deleted the login and password and I don't what they are? I already tried to run Windows (AIO) but I still have the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dave
