Yes, I think you're right about the loop. It was an AVG Quarantine folder, and I'm not using AVG as a AV now. I deleted it and restarted the Repair. I am going to the movies now and presume that it should finish in the interim.

Hi,
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on an Asus Seashell 11" AMD E 350 Processor, 8 Gig RAM.
I am using the program for the first time, and have gone through every step to the Repair step. I have every option ticked, but I notice that options 2.1 & 2.2 are unticked by default.
There are 208,000 files on my C drive, and so far the program has taken 17 hours 37 minutes to reset those file permissions. Methnks that's too long.
I was just running it all through to resolve one problem, and any other problems I might not have known about.
The one problem I have/had was that an external drive - USB powered - was causing(?) my computer to stop dead. This is probably a hardware rather than a software problem I know, but I thought I would try this program to see if it could turn up something.
