It was originally on the 1st option and I changed it to the 2nd option but that did not make a difference, windows still will not let the program lunch

Yes it runs as admin and DEP is enabled

I have a win 8.1 desktop and have a neat desk scanner attached but can't get the software to open. It crashes when loading 'a problem cause the program to stop working correctly'. Neat Desk support is worthless. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, run tweaking but still cant get it fixed. Any help would be appreciated
