I have had trouble for several weeks trying to get a PC to do a Windows update to no avail, this was due to several services that had been deleted on the system 
It was a Windows 7 Ultimate system
I downloaded several utilities but none of them worked!
I downloaded "Tweaking.com - Windows Repair (All in One) v1.9.17" and guess what it worked!! The system is running great again!
I have told others about this cleaver little utility and I am going to keep it in my own utilities toolbox for future use.
