Everything Else / Sound Card

My headphone jack on my Sony Vaio became loose because of many accidental bumps, it being in the front. I cannot afford $100.00 to get
it repaired. I had a tech load a USB plug in for me but the sound is not the quality of the internal sound card. The USB is very cheep and
I was curious if a more expensive USB Sound card would give me anything close to my Vaio sound card.
Thx for any help anyone gives me.

I really want to thank you for your software. I looked for about a year for a program like yours.
I had forgotten what the true face of Windows looked like. Your program completely brought my laptop back to its original condition.
