General Computer Support / help file popup-then freeze

Hello All,
I am new here and have a frustration problem with my MS-Word 2007 software. Each time I start the software and start typing the HELP file pops up and it will not let me close it. Most times I cant even shut the system down and have to push the front button to kill everything.
I have windows 7 with the MS-Office 2007 installed. I checked MS word repair, done safe mode starts and run Malwarebytes, Windows Essentials scan and multiple other checks.
Still no change and its a real bummer. If anyone has a solution I be happy to hear from you.
