Attempting to upgrade Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, version 1709 to current version, I was advised that I needed to update my BIOS. I went to Gigabyte, the mfg. of my motherboard, and found updating my BIOS to be incomprehensible. I found a auto updater software called @bios, but it will not install. Help?

Do you have a model number for your Gigabyte motherboard ?
If you have, then I can Google it to see if I can make any sense of it - or can you post a link to the web site ?

From these instructions, it may not appear to be as straight forward as for some other computers, but it does appear to be a step by step guide.

Tom,
I was finally able to install @bios software which makes updating the Gigabyte BIOS a cinch.
My main purpose of updating it was MS's tech support advice to do so in order to update my Win 10 Pro 64 bit to current version.
IT DID NOT HELP! installation completes but does not update! No error message or error codes.

Can you open a Command Prompt (Admin) and enter these cmds -
dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
This will remove obsolete updates from the WinSxS folder which can cause problems.
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
sfc scannow
To see if any corruption remains.
Enter exit to close the cmd window and try the updates again, but it has been reported by a member that 2004 has bugs which MS are aware of.
