After running Tweaking this morning to try to fix a problem with the Service Profile service, and following the instructions to the letter, I am now getting a series of errors saying that a group of "devices" including the operating system, display configuration, sound device were failing. Actual message is "Enumerate (listed) device (name of device as above) Fail !!".
The error messages go through about eight items and repeat. Trying to close them only brings up the next one. Computer seems to run fine except the message is always there.
Any ideas?
Thanx!!

Use Option 5 and Registry restore in the Windows Repair program to take you back.
If you are getting the error that the user profile service failed to log on then follow the steps in this article - you can manually back up the registry using the program before you make any changes, but the one that the program auto created will suffice as a fall back.

Thank you, Boggin. Sorry, I failed to mention that I was running Win 7 SP1 Home Professional. If I restore the registry, I will have to correct the Profile service problem again so if that is the only way, I will do all after lunch.
Thanx!

The steps in the article are universal so I didn't have to ask which version you are using.
The article assumes you have the problem and how to move forward from there.
buon appetito :)
