Running Tweaking.com Windows Repair (3.9.9) shows my correct Pro version license and key. Re-booting to Safe Mode and running windows repair shows I only have "free" version. The Safe Mode version will not take key.

This must be a bug in 3.9.9
I only have the Pro version on a Win 7 machine which hadn't been updated from 3.9.7 and that still showed as Pro in Safe Mode.
However, after upgrading to 3.9.9 I get the same as you where it displays as Free Version in that mode.
I'll pass this onto Shane.

This will be fixed in 3.9.10 which is planned for release on Monday.

Thank you...

You're welcome - but it's Shane who does the work :)

Still not fixed for me..

After seeing your thread, it reminded me to update mine - which did show it as Pro in Safe Mode.
However, it also gave me an error message at the top -
An error occurred when attempting to delete the specified data element.
Element not found.
I've had this before and usually installing on top of the existing install has resolved - but not this time and I continued to get the error message.
It also reverted to showing as the Free version in Safe Mode as well.
I'll email Shane about this.
This is the only laptop that I have the Pro version, but I can't run the repairs on here because the laptop just freezes after the reboot and subsequent reboots and I have to boot up into Safe Mode to use Option 5 to restore the registry.
Because of this, I've never run the program on my other two laptops to see what happens - although they are running fine and don't need any repairs.

Any news or updates about this problem?
Thanks

While mine does show as Pro in Safe Mode, I still get the error message and have passed on your request to Shane for an update on the Pro/Free problem.
It was supposed to have been fixed in 3.9.10 but it doesn't seem to have been for you.
-
Thank you.. I'll give the safe mode another try and see what happens..
-
Any change ?
Shane can't replicate this and it displays okay for me.

No luck oh well.. I wonder if Mr Bob's version worked

He's never been back to find out.
Shane's about to release 3.9.11 - perhaps you'll have better luck with that ?
