I don't know when each website is filled up with popups marked as "powered by JumboDeals". These ads seem to be harmless but annoying.
I'm not willing to spend time dealing with these stupid ads, however I occasionally read a tech guide (http://blog.doofix.com/how-to-get-rid-of-ads-by-jumbodeals-manually/) listing the hazards of popups by JumboDeals, such such as slowing down PC performance and spreading other viruses. Well, I start to get a bit worried. Should I remove these ads?

Should these pop ups be due to a PuP you have picked up, run AdwCleaner followed by Junkware Removal Tool.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/
For Adwcleaner, click on Scan and it may list some programs in the lower pane that it considers to be PuPs which you can uncheck any you want to keep.
When the scan has completed click on Log File and that will open a report in Notepad for anything else it has found and which it will delete when you close the report and click on Cleaning.
It will open another report after the reboot to show what it has deleted.
You can find the link for JRT lower down the AdwCleaner page.
This isn't as transparent as ADW but will produce its report on completion.
µBlock is an ad blocker program but doesn't work in IE but Adblock Plus does for normal ads that get loaded with webpages.
µBlock was originally designed for Chrome, I think but it works in Firefox. https://www.ublock.org/
Adblock Plus - https://adblockplus.org/
