Title: why on some sites the video does not cover the full screen of monitor?
Post by: jraju on February 08, 2015, 05:36:45 am
Hi,
I am using firefox browser latest. When i click you tube videos, it covers the entire screen, when i select full screen. But in some other sites, if i click the video , it plays, but it does not cover the entire monitor leading the gap in the top of the monitor up to the address bar in firefox? Why? Is there any solution

Hi,
I have done those things. If i opt for full screen at You tube, it is covering full monior. But in some sites, which have there own players, i am facing this problem. I had the latest graphics driver from intel as well as updates. I found this in JW player sites. Is there any solution.

If the other sites have other types of players then the problem isnt on your end but most likely on their end instead The fact that it does work on youtube fr you shows you that it does work on your system.

But one question, do you have youtube set to play in html5 video or flash video?

Hi, I selected html5 video for youtube. But i do not know whether it support jw player on the website. It is a tamil serial in Zee tv, that i try to see in full screen. It occupies all most full, but leaving some top, up to firefox address bar. Would it be a settings for the particular.
I have tried to see the Newsx channel live in their website. In default size, the sound is normal. But when i change to full screen, the video occupies the full page, but the sound is somewhat mostly muted.

Then the problem is their player, I did a google search for jw player fullscreen problem and they do have support docs on their site for it.
