Title: Windows 7 - Kernel Processor Power Warning ID 37 Task Category 7
Post by: Marek on October 22, 2014, 01:16:09 am
Hello:
At first Many thanks you solved the problem with  WMI error ID 10. I was waiting for it above 2 years. Nobody helpped so far. That is why I believe you can also fix the warning as to Kernel Processor Power ID 37 Task Category 7

Can you post a screen shot of the error in the event viewer so I can see exactly what it says?

I was wondering if this could have anything to do with the BIOS.

After a Google, came across someone else who had this problem and turning off Intel Speedstep Technology in the BIOS fixed it - could this apply to your machine as the full error relates to firmware causing the slowdown ?

How long have you been seeing this error in Event Viewer and has anything changed with your system - BIOS, drivers updates ?

Another Google found http://www.itexperience.net/2009/12/22/event-37-the-speed-of-processor-in-group-is-being-limited-by-system-firmware/

Hi Shane
I attach the screenshot regarding the problem. I have done all what Boggin suggested and no effects. Problem still exists. I do not know how to access BIOS in Acer notebook.

The other error I fixed had to do with WMI. This error you are having has to do with the bios.

I just googled and found a lot of other people with the same problem and almost all of them got it fixed by getting the latest bios installed. Looks like it might be a bug in the bios.

What computer make and model do you have and Iw ill see if there is a bios update, oh and what bios version do you have?

When you first boot up you will see suggestions along the bottom of the screen for a couple of keys to press.

One is for Set up and the other is for the one off boot options.

The "Set up" key will get you into the BIOS and for an Acer could either be F1, F2 (usually), or a combo of pressing CTRL+ALT+ESC together.

Tapping whichever of these as you switch on will get you into the BIOS.
