Title: Diagnostic Policy service (DPS) won't start?
Post by: msgtb on March 13, 2014, 12:02:21 am
Hi
I am using a desktop with Win7 Ultimate installed and using a DSL modem for my Internet connection.

I have a problem where I can't start my Diagnostic Policy service (DPS). I think I am the cause of the problem. It was not starting so I went to services and started it. But, I kept having problems where it wouldn't start. I found that there was a pull-down and it had said login and password. I accidentally deleted the login and password and I don't what they are? I already tried to run Windows (AIO) but I still have the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

The DPS service isnt in the program, but I made a note to add it :-)

Here is the regkeys for the service for Windows 7, just import the reg file and if it has permissions it should add the keys back to what they should be, including the login that it uses :-)

God Bless you and your family

Good to hear :-)

I made a note to add that service to the next update of the Windows Repair :-)
