Title: Windows live update errors at 20% 80073701 win7 64

Greetings all,  Im having many problems trying to download win 7 sp1 from live updates have tried microsofts suggestions. 
Have run the program from here In its entire state i.e malware etc  Im my download shows up but then errors at 20% with 80073701. Reason is for wanting sp1 is to download ie 11. OS is Win 7 Home Premium pre installed on ASUS notebook 64 bit.
Any advice any would be appreciated

So you are trying to get SP1 installed? Did you run this first?

Appreciate response yes I did CHKDSK as well and SFC multiple times as well  :thinking:

It is a large file but I normally use the downloaded version of SP1 and install it. It is possible that the small version from windows updates isnt able to download all it needs, so use the offline installer instead :-)

Thanks Shane,
 appreciated that downloaded that got an error and installed windows update stand alone installer. Hot fix KB947821 still get error install was not successfull error Ox800f081p tried with anti virus off as well. :cry:

That error number isnt correct, can you do it again and get a screen shot of the error for me?

However my dism /online /remove-package /packagename:Package_for_KB976932~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.17514

was  little different that i did run in DOS elevated i think some numbers after the kb976932 where different?

now when i try to install the stand alone sp1 i get this
