Windows 7 is telling me that my recycle bin has been corrupted. It also says that two filenames (in the bin?) are too long and need to be shortened. When I open the recycle bin there is no sign of these two files.
How do I fix a corrupted recycle bin? Any ideas would be welcome.

I restored the system to a date before the recycle bin was corrupted and now it's working again.
Now I need to re-install all the Windows and application updates and see which one caused the problem.

It's easy to repair/fix a corrupted Recycle Bin:

And make sure you restart your computer afterwards.
@Shane: A good thing to be added to the "Remove Temp Files" ??

Let me know if it happens again :-)

Perhaps, or maybe make a repair just for the recycle bin?

How often do you have to fix corrupted Recycle Bins ?
-
I normally never have to. When it comes up as corrupt it will just empty it and be fixed.
