Title: Registry Backup Doesn't Backup On Startup
Post by: Ronald on August 08, 2013, 11:37:42 am
Every time I start windows 8Pro registry backup doesn't run the auto backup.   When you look in the task manager you see the following error: the extended attributes are inconsistent (0x800700FF)

Havent seen that error happen yet, does my registry backup program run fine when you run it manually?

As far as I can tell it does  what it's suppose to do.  Did a couple of SFC /scannow now everything seems to be working correctly.  Still get the error the extended attributes are inconsistent (0x800700FF) when you look in the task manager.

I did some digging and oddly enough a lot of people have had this problem with Windows 8 and a bunch of different programs.

And so far the fix that has worked for them, System sounds!

What an odd bug in Windows 8, it has to do with the system sounds.

Try it and let me know if it works for you as well.
