hard drive monitoring
« on: April 03, 2012, 07:56:21 am »
Hey Shane,

I'm using acronis hard drive monitoring program. s.m.a.r.t information stopped working for my c drive but works for all my other drives. So I switched to crystal disk with same results (I used to be able to monitor the c drive). I checked this in the bios and s.m.a.r.t is enabled and I ran the test in bios and is working fine. Looks like windows isn't getting information anymore for my c drive. Any Idea what could possibly be wrong.

Might be a drive problem.

The programs are accessing the drive directly (I think)

How does this one work for you?

I dont think that actually looks at the smart status but more just the file system that Windows keeps track of
