Author Topic: Search programs and files... "No items match your search"!! Why not?! HELP! (Read 12784 times)

Hi!

I have a problem with my Windows 7 (besides my Blu-Ray and DVD player not working right).

When I go to look for something like MSCONFIG in the "search" when you click on the "start" button, it says, "No items match your search". The same when I try to look for "cmd".

This happened to change on me a few weeks ago.

Any help to get this fixed for me will be very appreciated!

Try this,

Right click on Start and then on Properties.
On the screen that comes up, click on Customize.
Then scroll down near the bottom of that list to "Search othe files and libraries. Insert a radio button just on "Search with Public Folders"
Also put a check on "Search Programs and Control Panel"
