Blue Screen
« on: February 11, 2013, 05:51:53 am »
Hello.

A few minutes ago I updated the Windows Repair program and ran it. All 35 tasks were completed and the O.S. was restarted.
I am here after the 3rd attempt to load Windows 7 Professional.
The boot-up was rather slow, but the problem came directly after my desktop had finished loading.

A "Blue Screen" appeared but was visible (before re-starting) only long enough for me to read the suggestion to use F8 key and choose my start-up options menu.

I am here while using Safe Mode with Networking. I prefer being online with sound and with the correct screen resolutiuon settings and therefore, I invite any and all pertinent suggestions from this forum which could assist with resolution of this problem.

I thank you for your consideration and any assistance you may provide.
Best regards,
blsev

OK so you get a blue screen in Windows but safe mode is fine?

Can you check the event viewer and tell me what the blue screen error was?

Yes, I did, and I can, and I will ...
There were two errors near that same time, this morning.
The first was an error. I have copied the message I found in the Event Properties and this is it:
Error:   source: event properties :

"The previous system shutdown at 5:53:44 AM on 2/11/2013 was unexpected."
------------------------------------------------------------
Critical :
source : Kernal-Power
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
Best regards,

See if you can find one that says what the blue screen was, should be right before the error you posted
